1. Who is SIGMA and what is SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding?

SIGMA is a global team of engineers with over 150 years of combined experience in the injection molding industry. SIGMA identifies and prevents molding issues using our proprietary state-of-the-art simulation software. 2. What type of processes and materials can SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding simulate? 

SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding can simulate injection molding, transfer molding, insert molding, and two-shot molding. Materials used in simulations can be thermoplastics, elastomers, liquid silicone rubber, thermosets, metal injection molding or thixo.

3. How can I find out if SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding is a good fit for my company?

4. What is the training time SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding? 

We are with you every step of the way. SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding users can run complete mold multi-cycle simulations at the end of the initial four-day training. After this training, checkpoints are established with the user throughout the first year as part of the tailored implementation plan to further development, understanding and proficiency. There are always additional opportunities for continuing education, as well as webinars, to keep the user informed. We also have our support team ready to help you when you are feeling stuck.

5. What is a unique feature SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding offers?

One unique feature included in all SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding licenses is the Autonomous Optimization (A.O.) technology. The optimization runs a wide selection of geometry and process variables autonomously (without the intervention of the user). The result provides the optimal part/mold/cooling design and process combinations to achieve the highest quality part every shot.

6. What type of education does SIGMA offer?

SIGMA Academy offers several learning and training opportunities for both the software user and others within the organization to help see how the software can benefit multiple business areas.  These programs are available to current customers as part of the ongoing commitment to their success. SIGMA Academy offers advanced training classes, webinars, seminars, workshops, tutorials and expert user certification.
