Content:

This class emphasizes educating the trainee about the different perspectives and types of simulations within SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding and primarily focuses on simulations associating with the Quoting and Prototyping stages. This course combines lecture and hands-on use with SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding. Exercises accompany lessons to provide real-world examples to the trainee. Training consists of running four different simulations (two Quoting and two Prototyping), which help to create a process for the given part and mold. This class emphasizes simulations that associate to the production floor. With a heavy focus on the setup and interpretation of the mold and water/heating lines and how it impacts the shrinkage & warpage of the part. This course combines lecture and hands-on use with SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding. Exercises accompany lessons to provide real-world examples to the trainee. Training consists of running three different simulations (default process, process optimization, channel layout), which help to improve a process for the given part and mold. This class emphasizes simulations that associate to the production floor. With a heavy focus on the ways to control and optimize for factors that impact part dimensions such as; flatness, roundness, critical dimensions, and ejector forces. This course combines lecture and hands-on use with SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding. Exercises accompany lessons to provide real-world examples to the trainee. Training consists of different simulations, which help to improve a process for the given part and mold. Requirements:

SIGMASOFT® FUNDAMENTALS Training, SIGMASOFT® INTERMEDIATE Training, and SIGMASOFT® ADVANCED Training completed, plus 1 year of continuous SIGMASOFT® usage

Duration:

2 days

Content:

An individual with SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding Expert Certification displays elite skills within the software and is able to apply the information from the simulation to solve production issues. Companies with an expert user can show their customers that they have an individual who can use the software effectively.

Applications for expert certification are taken after the user group meeting until the end of the year. Expert Certification Workshop courses start in January and certification is completed at the user group meeting. If a user does not complete the expert certification by the user group meeting they may need to take the workshop again.

Users interested in being expert certified user need to complete:
1. Expert Certification Workshop (2 days)
2. Successful implementation of the SIGMASOFT® Virtual Molding
3. Practical Examination (0.5 day)
4. Present case studies at the SIGMASOFT annual user group meeting
